Contrast Mural Series

Closing out 2014, LeBasse Projects brings the Contrast Series and Los Angeles based artist Bumblebee to Santa Monica. Located on 631 Wilshire Blvd in Santa Monica, the new mural "Beach Day" towers 32 ft overlooking the iconic beach community.

About the Artist:
Bumblebee’s work first came to life on the streets and abandoned buildings of Downey, a city located in southeast Los Angeles County. With a focus on themes of innocence, communication and coming of age, his stencil and sculptural works are most often rendered in the simple, but instantly identifiable color palette of yellow and black. Ongoing campaigns range from the remodeling of urban furniture such as abandoned phone kiosks and newspaper boxes to large-scale mural projects that address and work to raise awareness of issues such as youth homelessness.

About The Contrast Series:

LeBasse Projects and Industry Partners are collaborating to present the Contrast Series, an ongoing series of murals and art installations across Los Angeles. Industry Partners, a Santa Monica based real estate services firm, and LeBasse Projects developed the idea of the Contrast Series in order to begin building cultural value into the fabric of neighborhood and community properties being developed.

The Contrast Series will include an international roster of artists who will be invited to paint murals across some of the most desirable property locations and creative work spaces in the city.
